GEMPOL PLERET is BEVERAGE FROM SOLO

 

Hello Everybody!!!
At this time, I'll share to you about a unique drink from my city :)
The name of this drink is GEMPOL PLERET
Maybe you think this is a unique or strange name, but when u trying this drink you'll love it :)
This is a beverage derived from My Best City,SOLO and be a typical drink from Solo.

At long time ago, this drink is easy to find but at this time is even more rare.
Maybe you'll ask q question, What the meaning of Gempol Pleret.?

Gempol Pleret is taken from content of this beverage.Both of them are made from rice flour, but it seems contradictory.Gempol has round shaped,the size in the mount of your thumb,salty and savory taste.Whereas Pleret has thin shaped like chiken's skin, it was sweet because given sugar.And then Gempol Pleret doused with coconut milk diluted. Combination of savory and sweet in this drink, making your tongue sway.When you add some ice cube, it make more fresh and delicious.The effect of Gempol Pleret is not only refreshing but it can make filing because it made from rice flour. Gempol Pleret is presented in a small bowl and very cheap. It's about Rp 3000 - Rp 5000 (3-5$)

GEMPOL PLERET
MATERIALS:
100 grams of rice flour
50 grams of starch
100 ml of warm water
salt to taste

RED SUGAR SYRUP:
200 grams of brown sugar
300 ml of water
2 pieces of pandan leaf
salt

Coconut milk:
200 ml coconut milk
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 pieces of pandan leaf

HOW TO MAKE:

  1. Mix the brown sugar syrup ingredients and boil
  2. Stirring until boiling. 
  3. Cooling.
  4. Mix the rice flour, starch, and salt.
  5. Pour warm water while stirring.
  6. Flat round shape with the center of the concave.
  7. Boil in boiling water until the float.
  8. That have been floating,Gempol can be directly incorporated in the sugar solution.
  9. Gempol Serve with sugar and coconut milk solution was boiled.
